Practice Lead, Digital

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

BerlinRosen, a leading national consulting and strategic communications firm, is seeking practice leaders for our rapidly expanding digital practice. Our digital team is now 40 people and growing.

As a practice lead on our Digital team you will work directly with the Co-CEOs and Managing Directors, sit on BerlinRosen’s Leadership team, and play a key role in growing the business and setting direction for the firm. We are hiring practice leads at the Managing Director, Executive Vice President, and Senior Vice President levels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a rare opportunity to play a keystone leadership role in managing and expanding a dynamic digital practice that is already serving a diverse set of high-profile, industry-leading clients with a range of digital services including digital strategy, digital organizing, social, email, and content creation. These services are often integrated with broader support in public relations, public affairs, and strategic communications.

BerlinRosen’s clients relying on our digital team include The Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, HBO, SEIU, Color Of Change, Black Futures Lab, Audible’s Newark Kitchen, and the Center for Humane Technology. In the 2020 election cycle, our digital team powered 170+ progressive races and causes, from labor unions working to elect Joe Biden all the way to supporting Ossoff and Warnock in the Georgia run-offs and reached over 23,000,000 critical swing state voters.

At the Managing Director (MD) level, you will have responsibility to grow and manage the Digital P&L, set the tone and culture for the team, promote staff development, lead by example in business development and client management, and generally ensure that the practice performs at a high level of excellence, efficiency and effectiveness. You will expand the team as you grow the P&L, and will have the purview to build a diverse and high-performing team as you see fit. As a Managing Director at BerlinRosen, you will shape - and participate in - the growth of the firm as you take your career to the next level.

At the Executive VIce President (EVP) level, you will help win business and make sure we are delivering the highest quality service to our clients. Our EVPs are also key culture-shapers at BerlinRosen, helping anchor the firm’s values in all the work that we do. An understanding of how to drive business processes, structure teams and develop leadership to ensure strong business results is a must.

At the Senior Vice President (SVP) level, you will play a key role in delivering the highest quality services, customized to each client based on their evolving needs.

This team is based in New York City.


QUALIFICATIONS
The levels of leadership will require varying years of relevant professional experience. Our Managing Directors generally have 15+ years, our EVPs 10-15+, and our SVPs 8+.

All levels require substantive experience in digital communications, strategic communications, public relations, or CSR, including agency management/leadership, with some exposure to social impact & advocacy, startups, politics, or some combination thereof. We’re excited about digital generalists, but also open to specialists with deep expertise in a particular digital domain.
