ABOUT THE ROLE

The Search Lead is the cornerstone of Formidable’s ability to deliver on executive searches. You are the person who will make sure that when clients hire Formidable for a key hire, they wind up with an amazing new person on their team. You will have support and guidance from Formidable’s founder, but at the end of the day it will be your decisions that create outcomes.

You love people, teams, and high performance. You’re excited to have your dream job helping companies across a wide range of high-impact settings, and you’re mentally prepared to spend several years at Formidable as you continue to hone your craft.

You will be joining - and helping shape - a very small team, much of which is currently part time (by design). Every decision that we make will set a precedent and shape the future of the company. You are not just fine with that - you’re excited at the prospect of building an amazing company from the ground up.

Formidable is a high-freedom, high-accountability setting. Here you will own your work, and how you choose to approach it. You can handle your accountabilities however works best for you: however and wherever. There is no micromanagement in sight.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Recruiters, executive recruiters, in-house talent folks, former founders/entrepreneurs who have done a lot of hiring; anyone who knows what they are doing when it comes to hiring, and are excited to apply that knowledge in this setting.

If you’re reading this role description and you’re excited about everything you see, but you aren’t at the level of expertise described here - e.g. if you have intern, Associate, Coordinator, or Manager-level talent experience but haven’t done executive/senior hiring - you should still submit an application, but put Recruiter in the subject instead of Search Lead. We are hiring Recruiters as well, who can level up to being Search Leads over time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Because base compensation will ultimately depend on the background and seniority level of the candidate, and will differ between full-time and part-time versions of this role, it is hard to say in advance what it will be. However, Formidable pays market-leading wages for both salaried and part-time team members.

For salaried Search Leads benefits include healthcare, 401K (with match), and other competitive offerings. For part-time Search Leads, perks include free use of tools (e.g. Superhuman) and other offerings.
